Kendall W. Maddox graduated from the University of Texas with Special Honors in Economics in 1978. He pursued graduate studies in Economics at the University of Illinois where he earned a Master’s Degree. While living in Illinois, Mr. Maddox taught Economics and Statistics at the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, and Parkland College.
Mr. Maddox earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. After practicing law a number of years, Mr. Maddox continued his legal education at the University of Alabama where he received a Master of Laws in Taxation.
Mr. Maddox’s law practice is focused in the area of estate planning law and other estate and financial planning related areas. He is the founder of the law firm Kendall Maddox & Associates, Attorneys and Financial Planners. Mr. Maddox is a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations and the Sections of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and Taxation Law of the American and Alabama Bar Associations. Mr. Maddox is also a Certified Financial Planner™. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in Alabama as well as the United States Tax Court.
In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Maddox is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics, regularly presenting educational seminars for public as well as private groups.
Mr. Maddox was born and raised in Birmingham. He is married and has two children. His hobbies include golf, scuba diving and refereeing youth soccer.
