About KENDALL W. MADDOX

Meet the author of Estate Planning Basics: A Crash Course in Safeguarding Your Legacy.

Kendall W. Maddox graduated from the University of Texas with Special Honors in Economics in 1978. He pursued graduate studies in Economics at the University of Illinois where he earned a Master’s Degree. While living in Illinois, Mr. Maddox taught Economics and Statistics at the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, and Parkland College.

Mr. Maddox earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. After practicing law a number of years, Mr. Maddox continued his legal education at the University of Alabama where he received a Master of Laws in Taxation.

Mr. Maddox’s law practice is focused in the area of estate planning law and other estate and financial planning related areas. He is the founder of the law firm Kendall Maddox & Associates, Attorneys and Financial Planners. Mr. Maddox is a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations and the Sections of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and Taxation Law of the American and Alabama Bar Associations. Mr. Maddox is also a Certified Financial Planner™. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in Alabama as well as the United States Tax Court.

In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Maddox is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics, regularly presenting educational seminars for public as well as private groups. He is the co-author of the book Estate Planning Basics: A Crash Course in Safeguarding Your Legacy.

Mr. Maddox was born and raised in Birmingham. He is married and has two children. His hobbies include golf, scuba diving and refereeing youth soccer.

Rodney

About RODNEY S. PARKER

Rodney S. Parker graduated from Mississippi State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. After Law School, he continued his legal education at the University of Denver where received a Master of Laws in Taxation.

Mr. Parker initially practiced with the law firm of Wilson, Pumroy, Turner, and Robinson, in Anniston, AL, where his practice focused on Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. His corporate career included extensive work in Trust Administration and Estate Administration in banking for SouthTrust, Wachovia and Wells Fargo Banks.

After his banking career, Mr. Parker managed a solo practice for over eight years focusing his work on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Real Estate Law. He joined the law firm of Kendall Maddox & Associates, LLC, Of Counsel, in June 2018, and now serves as an associate in the firm. He continues his focus in estate planning, trust administration, estate administration, probate, and tax planning. He is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in Alabama and Mississippi.

In addition to Mr. Parker’s active practice with the firm, he is a regular speaker on estate planning topics, often giving presentations at educational seminars for public and private groups.

Mr. Parker is originally from Huntsville, Alabama and currently resides in Helena, Alabama, with his wife and two children. As a hockey enthusiast, he enjoys the sport as a player and as a referee.
