Jennifer Q. Griffin is an associate at the law firm of Kendall Maddox and Associates. Her law practice is focused in the areas of estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning for long term care, Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance, trust administration, probate, guardianship and conservatorship.
Ms. Griffin is an Accredited Estate Planner (“AEP®”), certified by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. In 2014, she was appointed by the Governor of Alabama to serve on the Board of the Alabama Family Trust. In 2015, she became a member of The National Advocates: Top 100 Lawyers, an invitation-only professional organization.
Ms. Griffin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Alabama State University. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, she served as Articles Editor of the Law & Psychology Review and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
Ms. Griffin is a former Chairperson and current member of the Alabama State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. She also currently serves as Treasurer of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Probate Section. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham, which is a multi-disciplinary professional association that provides continuing education for estate planning professionals, and she is an associate member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a premier organization that fosters excellence in estate planning.
